The release of the SMU Men’s Basketball American Athletic Conference schedule Tuesday means the countdown to Moody Magic is in full swing.

The team will play 18 conference games this season, beginning on Dec. 29 at Tulsa. However, the Mustangs’ season officially starts with a home game on Nov. 14 against Sam Houston State.

Of the conference games, nine will be played at home along with eight non-conference games. The season will end in Cincinnati, followed by the conference championship in Orlando from March 10-13.

The Non-Conference schedule was released on Aug. 20. SMU Athletics noted that face-offs at home against Michigan and Gonzaga, as well as games at Stanford and TCU, “highlight” the non-conference schedule.

For the past two years the team has won 27 games each season and set records for home and average game attendance last year. The Mustangs have a lot to live up to this year, while fans have a lot to look forward to.
