SMU PD claims that this man is a major suspect in recent bicycle thievery on campus.

The SMU police department found a lead on who might be responsible for several recent bicycle thefts on campus. According to the police report, bicycles started missing around mid-August, and have been taken from Boaz Hall, the Pi Kappa Alpha House, Owens Fine Art Center, the Umphrey Lee Center, Clements Hall, Embrey Engineering Building and Perkins Natatorium.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 47 years old and weighing 150 pounds (see photo). The police also mentioned that he has an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.

Many of the bikes were taken from racks, posts, and railings on campus. The theives cut cable locking devices on some bikes, while others only had a lock on the front tire.

The police are still on the hunt for the suspect, and have contacted both University Park and Dallas PD. They also notified DART of the suspect and will ramped up patrolling of the area.
