The Tower Center Forum event is open to Tower Center forum members, SMU students, faculty and staff. Send an email RSVP to [email protected].

Dan Branch, the former chairman of the Texas House Committee on Higher Education, and current commissioner to the Education Commission of the States and Dr. Michael K. McLendon, the dean of the School of Education and professor of Higher Education Policy and Leadership at Baylor University, will lead the discussion.

Joshua Rovner, a distinguished chair and director at the Tower Center, will mediate the forum. He said that this is one of the first talks that directly impact students’ undergraduate and graduate careers, which breaks away from its typical discussions on foreign policy and international relations.

“The forum is about their world,” Rovner said.
