Three men have been arrested on SMU’s campus after they were seen driving erratically early this morning. When SMU Police stopped the van in front of the Owens Arts Center on Bishop Boulevard.
They saw a female exiting. The female says she was assaulted in Dallas earlier this morning. The victim was not affiliated with SMU and has been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say this assault does not appear to be related to the assault of a female SMU student east of campus Sunday night.
Bishop Boulevard was closed for more than an hour this morning due to the incident.
Dallas Police are investigating and will be providing additional information via social media as it becomes available.
