5 Best Jobs for the Future That Will Always Be Around

5+Best+Jobs+for+the+Future+That+Will+Always+Be+Around

Are you in fear of a future where humans are overrun by robots?

Does it seem like there won’t be any jobs left for people?

While automation certainly does threaten some lines of work, other jobs are more secure and far less likely to be subject to this “robot takeover.”

So what are the best jobs for the future?

1. App Developer

It may seem that the field of technology would be a natural for jobs that will experience growth. But the reality is, automation is positioned to take over a lot of tech jobs in the future.

So while there may be growth potential for a job, it may not be a human doing it.

But one job it’s unlikely that “robots” will be able to perform as well as humans is that of an app developer.

An app developer is actually a computer software engineer who creates, tests, and programs apps for computers, mobile phones, and other myriad devices.

They understand coding languages and how to use them. They may also work in tandem with data scientists, graphic artists, and other software experts to create these apps.

Let’s see a robot do that.

2. Dentist/Dental Hygienist

Since people will always need medical care, it’s not surprising that several of the jobs on this list are in the medical industry.

Working as a dentist or dental hygienist are both highly rewarding.

While a dentist earns more than a dental hygienist, the latter position still pays pretty well. And there are many benefits.

Plus, it requires only an associate’s degree in dental hygiene to get started. Meanwhile, becoming a dentist requires eight years of schooling.

3. Market Research Analyst

To be a market research analyst typically requires at least a bachelor’s degree. In some cases, a master’s degree is required.

But if you have strong math and analytical skills, this is a position that isn’t going anywhere.

As a market research analyst, you study market conditions to examine potential sales of a service or product. And as there is an ever-present and steady increase in the use of data, this is something needed by nearly every industry.

That’s why employment in this position is projected to grow by leaps and bounds in the next ten years.

4. Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Diagnostic medical sonographers have the training to operate special imaging equipment to assist other healthcare providers.

Because reading equipment requires such exact precision, this is not a job that can be automated. And it can often be achieved with an associate’s degree, as well as additional training.

For example, someone who wishes to become an echocardiographer would want to take a comprehensive echocardiography course as part of his or her training.

Whatever the case, employment for diagnostic medical sonographers is expected to increase over the next decade.

5. Physician Assistant

Physician assistants work in physician offices, clinics, and hospitals in partnership with doctors.

They are licensed to diagnose and treat illness and disease and to prescribe medication for patients.

Practicing as a physician assistant requires graduation from a PA program, the ability to pass the national certification exam, and securing a license in the state where you wish to practice.

In most cases, you’ll need a completed bachelor’s degree to start a PA program.

Keep Up with the Best Jobs for the Future

While the above is merely a list of five of the best jobs for the future, have no fear. There are certainly others.

But it sure makes sense to stay abreast of changes in the job world. Otherwise, you could be headed straight for a dead-end career!
