Lady Mustangs fall to Baylor 2-0

Fresh off a shut-out against Colorado State, the Mustangs fell to Baylor on Sunday night 2-0.

The Bears dominated the match from start to finish- out shooting the Mustangs 17-9; effectively setting the pace of the game to the Bear’s favor.

SMU’s goalkeeper, Shannon Moroney, never seemed comfortable in the goal and was hesitant to commit to the ball at times.

Watching the match, it was evident that Baylor was the more physical team. By the end of the match, Baylor had 18 fouls to SMU’s six.

The Mustangs are now 2-2-0 and will face Davidson on the road on Friday. SMU will return to action on the Hilltop on September 12 when it will host rival TCU.
