SMU senior and golf’s U.S. Amateur Champion Kelly Kraft will throw out the first pitch at the Rangers game Saturday.

“I am very excited. I grew up watching the rangers play,” Kraft said. “I am a huge baseball fan. I will be pretty nervous up there but I’ll get over it quick hopefully.”

Saturday’s game comes right after the Rangers clinched the American League West title and Kraft is excited to have this opportunity.

“I’m just going to throw it high and hard, the last thing I want to do is bounce it to the plate,” Kraft said. “I will have a lot of friends and family there cheering me on so it should be a great experience and I can’t wait to get out there.”

The Rangers take on the Mariners at 3:10 p.m.
