Three Mustangs

1. Destynee Hives-McCray- The 6′ junior forward is to the women’s team what Markus Kennedy is to the men’s team: a low post presence and a physical attitude. In her return from a suspension, Hives-McCray dropped sixteen points on Tulane. Even though SMU lost the game, Hives-McCray made her presence on the court known, and provided another scoring option to the Mustangs. Hives-McCray is averaging 10.6 points with 7.9 rebounds a game.
2. Alicia Froling- The true freshman, from Queensland, Australia has been a steady source of points for SMU all season long. She is averaging 11.6 points a game, 6.9 rebounds and has registered 33 blocks.
3. Gabrielle Wilkins- The junior guard is third on the team in scoring, with an average of 8.3 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.

Three Pirates

1. Jada Payne- a red-shirt junior, who is averaging 21.7 points per game during the Pirates’ three-game winning streak. At 6’2″, Payne can play both the guard and forward positions for ECU and can cause match-up problems for the Mustangs.
2. I’Tiana Taylor- The junior forward has been a terror for opposing teams during conference play and is averaging 9.1 points and 11.6 rebounds through seven conference games this season.
3. Janesha Ebron- The senior point guard ranks third in the American Athletic conference with 4.4 assists and has led the team in that category in 14 games this season. Ebron doesn’t look to score, but is is good at creating opportunities for her teammates.
