Falling for flannel on the Boulevard

By Ashley Almquist and Emily Ward

As cold weather finally hits the Hilltop, SMU students are breaking out their fall clothes, and the trend this season seems to be flannel button-downs. Students tend to pair their favorite flannels with jeans for a casual look, or mix it up by tying them around their waists. Flannels are the perfect go-to to be comfy and cute for a day of walking from class to class in Converse or riding boots. They are the trendiest way to keep warm, and the ladies of SMU are clearly mad for plaid flannels.
