Market trunk show features Sisteron

Market trunk show features Sisteron

Luxury women’s boutique in Highland Park Village, Market, hosted a trunk show featuring designer Anne Sisteron and her exclusive Valentine’s Love Jewelry Collection Feb. 12. The store welcomed shoppers with drinks, desserts, and a meet-and-greet with the designer herself.

As shoppers entered the beautiful store, they were treated to the designer and store employees modeling some of the glistening pieces. There were refreshments and sweets for shoppers to enjoy.

Anne Sisteron, a Danish designer, originally came to the United States when she was 19 years old to sign with Elite Modeling Agency.

“Once I got here I never looked back,” Sisteron said.

Modeling was her ticket into the fashion industry, she started designing when she was 23 years old with the encouragement of her friends and family. The business now partners with celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and celebrity makeup artist who goes by “Nikkietutorials,” wearing and promoting her jewelry on her social media.

“Today social media has become such a powerful platform,” Sisteron said. “I have people with millions of Instagram followers that post pictures in my jewelry and once they tag me I have hundreds of new followers and people that are interested in my jewelry it has really helped me out and has expanded my business in more ways than they know.”

Sisteron said traveling keeps her creating. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons but is always on the move traveling from one city to the next. While on the move, she sketches in her notepad that she brings everywhere.

“This collection is the love collection that exemplifies everything in my life right now,” Sisteron said. “I am in a great place, with my husband, kids, and job I love it all and put that into my collection.”

Market owner Elisa Summers was thrilled to have the designer back in her store.

“We love Anne and all of her amazing jewelry, she has been a friend since I opened the store about two years ago I found her and loved all of her pieces,” Summers said.

Sisteron had a difficult time choosing which piece in the collection is her favorite. She circled around the table a few times until landing on a shiny, layered diamond ring.

The pieces from this collection were unique and bespoke from other jewelry in the store. The most popular piece that was displayed on the designer were dangly, pearl earrings that she is known for wearing. They are mother of pearl earrings and are said to be unique and give anyone that wears them a special glow. Sisteron said one of the collection’s most distinguished pieces was an emerald ring that has been sold on every continent in the world.

SMU Student Amelia Parker attended the trunk show, and was eager to see the new collection as she is a big Market fan.

“I loved meeting the woman behind this collection,” Parker said. “She is just as amazing as her jewelry is.”
