After not leading at all during regulation, Texas State overcame a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat SMU 74-70 in overtime at Moody Coliseum.
SMU beat Texas State 31-24 in San Marcos. But this game was about more than just football.
SMU will play Texas State a week earlier than scheduled in San Marcos. The decision comes on the heels of both the Sun Belt and the American Athletic Conference delaying Olympic sports until at least September.
SMU defeated Texas State 47-17 on Saturday night.
