The 99th annual Commencement ceremony will honor the achievements of over 2,100 students May 17. The ceremony will take place in the renovated Moody Coliseum at 9 a.m.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings will be the featured speaker at the Commencement. Elected in 2011, Rawlings has organized a campaign against domestic violence, introduced a development plan for south Dallas, and has taken a leading role in the United States Conference of Mayors.

Diploma presentation will be held at individual schools. The Baccalaureate Service will be held at 8 p.m. May 16 in McFarlin Auditorium. It will also be broadcast live.
