Girls aren’t always sugar, spice and everything nice.

Cameron Diaz’s newest film, The Sweetest Thing, does a great job of conveying this message loud and clear.

This is a must-see for girls and guys everywhere. But it may be disappointing to some guys to see what kinds of things women really talk about.

The film shows everything, from what happens when women run out of clean underwear, to what they have to put up with on a regular basis in regard to guys.

The movie is worth seeing regardless of its lack of positive social message.

Cameron Diaz’s character just can’t seem to find Mr. Right.  Christina Applegate’s character is the faithful girlfriend and partner in crime.  They embark on a wild journey in pursuit of a guy. Along the way, they encounter a wacky shop owner, poking penises and a lusting biker.

The humor is reminiscent of There’s Something About Mary with its over-the-top scenes, complete with a singing cop.

There’s also a twist on “Sex and the City,” with its predominately female themes.

The Sweetest Thing is lively and colorful – a great date movie. Even the film’s closing credits are entertaining outtakes of scenes that didn’t make the film.

And although sex plays a major role in the film, women are by no means objectified or even “sexed-up” in an offensive way.

In this film, Hollywood avoids the stereotype that successful women cannot be sexy.

Diaz manages to be goofy and playful while staying attractive and likeable. She’s her usual spaz-like self, and that’s why we love her.

Christina Applegate plays a lawyer, both successful and sexy.

This is a great comeback role for Applegate, who has been trapped in early ’90s sitcom hell ever since her stint on Fox’s “Married With Children.”

The film also includes Selma Blair of Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde fame.

The Sweetest Thing is an entertaining film, filled with off-the-wall jokes, a road-trip and all sorts of inventive gags (literally).

You’ll have to see the film to figure it all out.
